ABOUT Sean

Texas Christian University, Sophomore

I love my college because…

of the adventure! Moving halfway across the country and meeting such incredible people from all over has been the best experience of my life. You can’t beat the school spirit, inclusiveness, and engagement that the TCU community has. Go Frogs!

I really hate…

people who lack simple manners.

I major in…

Supply Chain and Value Management with minors in Spanish and Accounting. I hope to get a job in operations or logistics at a company that has a large impact globally (Amazon, American Airlines, Make A Wish, etc.)

My hometown is awesome because…

I didn’t see how much of an impact it had on me until I left for Texas. I miss my family and close friends so much when I’m at school! Dubuque, Iowa, is incredible. Growing up in Iowa showed me how to appreciate the simpler things in life, work exceptionally hard toward my goals, and utilize my gifts and passions for the betterment of others before myself.

At school, you can find me…

as a proud sorority member of Zeta Tau Alpha; I love being a part of the Greek community. I am also a mentor and facilitator to TCU freshmen in first year experience programs Connections, Frog Camp, Frogs First, and Leaders for Life.

The coolest class I’ve taken so far is…

Business Law.

My ideal first date would be…

no catch- as long as he makes me laugh, I will be content!

My favorite late night study snack is…

it sounds awful, but I am OBSESSED with putting peanut butter on just about everything. My go to is peanut butter and pizza rolls.

If I could change one thing about the world, it would be…

people’s attitude. I am a strong believer in positivity and the outstanding effect it has on everyone. When you are in a positive state of mind, it makes every aspect of life a little easier and a lot more fun. I don’t believe in bad days. Yes, bad things happen, but I think everyone should choose to focus on the good of a day instead of the bad! And if our world needs anything right now, it is positivity and peace.

If I could give my younger self one piece of advice, I would say…

mental health awareness.

If I could give my younger self a piece of advice, I would say…

stop and smell the roses!

I’m going to be Miss COED 2017 because…

I would love to represent TCU as well as well-rounded, lively, confident, college aged girls like myself.  Much love and thanks y’all!
