I really hate when…

someone lies directly to my face. It is one thing to lie via text, which still isn’t okay, but to lie to my face is just pitiful. When someone lies to my face, it makes me feel that I was not good enough for the truth.

I major in…

Human Development and Family Studies with a minor in Addiction and Recovery. There are many job opportunities but I actually am in the process of applying for nursing school. I want to become a neonatal nurse and eventually become a nurse practitioner.

My hometown is awesome because…

of the Friday night football games. The whole town comes to the stadium and cheers on the team. It brings old friends back together and allows me to remember my high school career. It is fun to cheer the team to victory, but just being around everyone makes it even better.

At school, you can find me…

as a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. I also work as a volunteer in the pediatric department at the local hospital and am a member of the Child Life Council.

The coolest class I’ve taken so far is…

my class about infants and toddlers, which was my favorite. It was such a fun experience to watch the children grow and learn to say their first words. Sounds cheesy I know, but it was truly awesome!

My ideal first date would be…

well, according to Chase Crawford, his first date would be taking a girl to a concert or football game but he wouldn’t know if she would like it… So to answer this question and his, I would love my first date to be at a concert to dance the night away like a bunch of dorks or at an Alabama football game yelling, “Roll Tide!”

My favorite late night study snack is…

Nutter Butter Bars. I am obsessed with them. I can eat the whole box honestly.

If I had 24 hours left to live, I would…

I would travel to Paris and shop. I have always wanted to travel to Paris and if I am dying, I might as well spend my last hours doing my favorite activity in a place I would love to visit.

If I could change one thing about the world, it would be…

that weight was no longer a factor in society. Being small my entire life, I always heard ‘eat a cheeseburger’ or people would ask if I was anorexic. Being older now, I understand how hurtful that was. Society tells us to embrace ourselves but smaller framed girls take criticism for it. Everyone needs to embrace their body and quit skinny shaming others.

I’m going to be Miss COED 2017 because…

it is something I would love. I enjoy being the center of attention. However, this title would also allow an everyday girl the chance to be someone bigger. I strive to be a better me every day and becoming Miss COED 2017 is already encouraging me to find out tidbits about myself. Just answering these questions helped me remember who I used to be and how far I have come. I am no longer the shy cheerleader from high school, but a strong college student focused on reaching my goals. Being Miss COED 2017 would not be just a title, it would be a job and an opportunity to encourage everyday girls like me can accomplish anything they set their heart on.
