ABOUT Ashley
Vanderbilt University, Junior
I love my college because…
it is the perfect mix of having a huge sports scene while being ranked as a Top 15 University nationally by US News and World Report. As a HUGE sports fan, being in the SEC (the best conference obviously) while being able to challenge myself academically was what truly solidified my decision to come to Vanderbilt. Not to mention, Vandy is located in Nashville, which I have found to be one of the most culturally rich cities I have ever found myself in.
I really hate when…
loud chewing/chewing with your mouth open!!!
I major in…
Medicine, Health, and Society (on the Health Economics track) while minoring in Corporate Strategy. After I graduate, I plan to go to Pharmacy School and complete a PharmD/MBA program. From there, I hope to start a career in healthcare consulting.
My hometown is awesome because…
I grew up right outside of Philadelphia in a town called Newtown Square. I loved it because it was so close to many major cities (Philly, New York, DC, etc.) while also having a small-town feel. I loved experiencing the change of seasons- Fall is my favorite!
At school, you can find me…
on the Vanderbilt Cheer/Dance Team for 3 years and I am captain this year. I love being able to take the field and cheer on the best school in the country (Go ‘Dores) while also being able to help in the greater Nashville community.
My ideal first date would be…
hiking! It’s a great way to work out and truly get to know someone.
If I had 24 hours left to live, I would…
spend them with my family and closest friends. Ideally, part of the 24 hours would be spent at a Vanderbilt sporting event and during the rest, I would take the opportunity to thank all the people around me for helping to shape me into the person I am today.
If I could change one thing about the world, it would be…
how people view relationships and friendships in today’s day and age. They seem to be more of a conveniency than a true loyalty, and I don’t believe that this is how relationships should be viewed.
If I could give my younger self one piece of advice, I would say…
be unapologetically yourself!!!
I’m going to be Miss COED 2017 because…
I truly think that my school is the most amazing school in the world, and I want to be an extension of this to everyone around the country!
