University of Florida

I love my college because…

of its great academics, spirit, brand name, and alumni network. Coming from Virginia as an out of state student I knew the University of Florida would offer me with a well known degree. I want to be able to go anywhere in the world and be able to find a gator and have my education be recognized and the University of Florida can provide that for me. Another perk I didn’t consider till I committed to the University of Florida was the weather, wow do I feel lucky going to school where the sun always shines!

I really hate…

jealousy. I think this character trait hurts more than it helps in any situation.

I major in…

Finance with a minor in Real Estate and Entrepreneurship. I would like to become a financial consultant for a global financial services company. This way I can use my degree, travel, and create a global network. I have high standards for myself and hope to achieve all of them on an international scale.

My hometown is awesome because…

I grew up in the small town of Haymarket, Virginia. I really enjoy the friends I have made here, the parents I have met, and knowing that I have lifetime relationships with these people. They have lifted me up at times, supported me, depended on me, believed in me, and that is all I could ask for in life! Home is where my heart will always be.

At school, you can find me…

involved in the official University of Florida dance team. This takes up most of my time but is a wonderful experience that has taught me various skills and attributes that I can use in my future career when working in the real world. Additionally, I am a part of the International Program Student Ambassadors for the Warrington College of Business. This organization is way for me to continue my love for study abroad while I promote various programs and guide those students that have thought of or have committed to a study abroad program affiliated to the Warrington College of Business.

The coolest class I’ve taken so far is…

International Sustainable Development. This class had nothing to do with my major but was taken for my real estate minor, however I truly enjoyed learning more about what state our world is in. It was amazing to learn about various ways the community can make a difference for the world and for the future.

My ideal first date would be…

the one that my current boyfriend took me on a few years ago. He picked me up, opened the door for me when I got into his car, decided on a nice restaurant, and never took his eyes off of me. I will never forget his eye contact and his smile! We talked for hours until we were the last ones in the restaurant. We didn’t even look at the menu till the third time the waitress came by to take our order!

If I had 24 hours left to live, I would…

spend them traveling to one more place on my list of locations I have yet to go to with my family and boyfriend. I would also eat and dine until I couldn’t anymore because I really love food!

If I could change one thing about the world, it would be…

more appropriate funding for greener technologies. I truly enjoy learning about sustainability because it opens my eyes to the danger our world is in. It opens my eyes to the lack of electricity, drinking water, and food that other countries suffer from while the majority of the United States wastes these luxuries. My eyes have been opened from the bubble our country is in, and the state of the world our earth is suffering from.

If my high school self could talk to me now, she would say…

to not let anyone stop you from your dreams not even yourself because they do come true. Some of my dreams I had have already come true but there are always more dreams to be accomplished. I think she would also say to stay positive because positive self talk can take your confidence and drive farther than anyone else can. We are results of our own decisions, mindset, drive, and passion.

I’m going to be Miss COED 2017 because…

I have a balance of education, athletics, clubs, and fun in my life. I constantly bring passion, drive, positivity, and value to those around me and myself while enjoying life. I walk away from parents, families, friends, and coworkers leaving a great impression that lasts. I always look and try my best at school, dancing, and networking events because leaving a lasting positive impression is very important to me. I want to be able to do that with various sponsors, children, students, and employees. I want a chance to bring my passion, values, interests, positivity, and smilie to more people, to make a difference, and to be the best Miss COED yet.
