ABOUT Morgan

Syracuse University, Junior

MY COLLEGE KICKS ASS BECAUSE…

Syracuse is the college that has it all: sports, clubs, Greek life, etc., not to mention an awesome reputation with academics. I can be part of a sorority, but then also be an active member of a club, while balancing my social life and academics. Also, the campus is beautiful, even during the snow!

THE MOST MEMORABLE THING I’VE DONE SINCE FRESHMAN YEAR IS…

Joining my sorority, hands down. I have met some of the most amazing girls so far. I’ve been given the opportunity to step up and be a leader within my sorority and the Panhellenic community as well as the most exciting thing: I’m a big!

I MAJOR IN…

Psychology and child and family studies. After Syracuse, I plan to go to grad school for my PhD in clinical psychology with a focus on children and families.

AT SCHOOL, I’M INVOLVED IN…

Sorority, a national honors fraternity for psychology, a dance troupe (in which I am a choreographer), a volunteer at a day treatment program for grades 1-8, a volunteer at a psychiatric hospital, a student assistant at the daycare center on campus, Philanthropy Chair for my sorority, and junior Panhellenic council.

IF YOU COULD TRAVEL ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD YOU GO?

Florence. I plan on traveling to Florence next spring through SU study abroad, and I am beyond excited. I want to push myself past my comfort zone and live on my own in a foreign country. Plus, they have gelato there!

WHY DO YOU WANT TO BE MISS COED 2016?

I want people to see that there are more than just looks in being in a sorority. You can be smart, involved, and not just someone who likes to go out and party every weekend. I believe I would be a good candidate as I consider myself very well-rounded and driven.

IF YOU COULD GIVE OUR READERS ONE PIECE OF ADVICE, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

Eat well, laugh often, and dream big.
