Wake Forest University, Senior

MY COLLEGE KICKS ASS BECAUSE…

Wake is awesome because you virtually cannot fall behind in any subject, everyone here wants to help you get where you want to go, and there are so many opportunities to become a part of something special. I’ve called Winston-Salem home for the past three years and don’t want to leave next Spring!

THE MOST MEMORABLE THING I’VE DONE SINCE FRESHMAN YEAR IS…

Deciding to study abroad, hands down. Last Spring I studied in Sydney, Australia for 4 months with three other Wake students and crazily decided to go sky diving, hitch hiking, and scuba diving all in the span of one week.

I MAJOR IN…

Communication major, studio art and Spanish minor. In my dream job, I’d be working abroad for a short time, possibly translating or doing web development work. Most likely, I’ll work for a startup on the east or west coast in the flim/advertising/photography industries and producing some artsy work.

IF YOU COULD TRAVEL ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD YOU GO?

If I could travel anywhere in the world, I’d love to visit Italy. After interning in Spain and visiting England, I would love to explore Europe more. Venice especially seems to be a cool place to visit (Who doesn’t want to ride a gondola?!).

DESCRIBE YOUR LAST FRIDAY NIGHT.

I explored the Harvest Moon Festival here in Winston Salem. It’s essentially a quaint little indie music festival with wine, beer, vegetable art, and flower bracelets. A good time with some good friends.

WHY DO YOU WANT TO BE MISS COED 2016?

It seems like a cool opportunity and a unique way to represent Wake. I’m all about spreading news about what people are talking about on college campuses, and I love meeting new people!

IF YOU COULD GIVE OUR READERS ONE PIECE OF ADVICE, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

“Give it a go!” It’s a saying I heard over and over again in Australia; just do it and don’t look back. You’re only in college for four years, so if you’re debating whether or not to do something, think “Will I regret doing this?” Odds are, you won’t!
