ABOUT Lauren
Clemson University, Sophomore
MY COLLEGE KICKS ASS BECAUSE…
I love Clemson because I kid you not, it is literally the best town on earth. People at Clemson are all about that southern hospitality, and even though we value academics as a Top 20 Public School, we also know how to get a little crazy and have a good time, especially on game days!
THE MOST MEMORABLE THING I’VE DONE SINCE FRESHMAN YEAR IS…
The most memorable thing I’ve done since freshman year… there’s so many memories! I think one of my favorites was actually at the first football game of this season. At one point it started to pour and someone turned on the song “Sweet Caroline.” Everyone in the crowd of about 2000+ people turned and looked at their friends, and then soaking wet, we proceeded to belt every word to the song at the top of our lungs while jumping around and participating in other shenanigans. We also won. It was a great day.
I MAJOR IN…
I’m an architecture major and travel and tourism minor. Ideally I would like to go to graduate school and get my professional degree and eventually own either my own upscale residential design and remodeling firm, work in leisure space design, or work in clinical setting design.
AT SCHOOL, I’M INVOLVED IN…
I’m a member of Alpha Phi Sorority, Clemson Club Field Hockey, and American Institute for Architecture Students. I also volunteer with the Psychology Club.
IF YOU COULD TRAVEL ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD YOU GO?
There’s so many places on my bucket list I am dying to visit, but I think my first choice would be Italy and Greece. From what I’ve heard and read about, both places are historically and culturally rich—not to mention drop dead beautiful. I’m learning Italian right now, so it would be super cool to be able to try out what I’ve learned, and on a side note—who doesn’t want to eat pasta and drink wine every day?
WHY DO YOU WANT TO BE MISS COED 2016?
I’d enjoy the opportunity to be Miss COED 2016 because I think I’d be a good representation of both COED and Clemson—I’m driven, hardworking and overall pretty well-rounded (if I’m allowed to say that about myself, heh). I think I’d be a great Miss COED 2016!
IF YOU COULD GIVE OUR READERS ONE PIECE OF ADVICE, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
Always remember that everything works out how it’s supposed to. If everything’s not okay, it’s not the end.
