ABOUT Kimberly
University of Central Florida
THE MOST MEMORABLE THING I’VE DONE SINCE FRESHMAN YEAR IS…
I managed to juggle a part time job, night life, sorority, homework, gym time, and good night’s sleep all while maintaining a 3.8 GPA.
I MAJOR IN…
I am a legal studies major with a minor in criminology. I hope to go to law school in New York and then study international law in Amsterdam before finally coming back to work for the white collar crime division in the U.S.
OH YEAH, AND YOU SHOULD PROBABLY KNOW THAT…
I am a complete mix between a beach bum and a country girl. I grew up in a house by the water and two horses in a barn about a half an hour away. I swear it feels like I learned how to surf and barrel race before I learned how to walk. There is no place I feel more at home than in the ocean or in the saddle.
AT SCHOOL, I’M INVOLVED IN…
I am a member of Kappa Delta sorority as well as the UCF panhellenic council, a member of the theater club, a member of the equestrian club, and a math tutor. Outside of school, I model for small clothing companies, take part in barrel racing competitions, and work at Hooters.
IF YOU COULD TRAVEL ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD YOU GO?
Paris! No need to think twice about that. Well I was actually born in Austria and moved to the USA when I was very young so I travel back every summer. When I come to Austria, that is actually where I am right now, I go on weekend trips to the surrounding countries but I have never been to Paris. Something about drinking a glass of wine, overlooking the lit up city and the Eiffel Tower in the background just sounds amazing.
WHY DO YOU WANT TO BE MISS COED 2016?
I love the idea of being a role model. When I was very little and first moved to the U.S., I didn’t have anyone to help me fit in. So when my little sister was born, I started helping her at every road bump. There is honestly no better feeling than to see someone take your advice, use it in their own way, and grow from it. I want to be a role model and represent a perfectly rounded college student.
IF YOU COULD GIVE OUR READERS ONE PIECE OF ADVICE, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
College can be the best time of your life, so don’t waste it. Join all the clubs that interest you, go on crazy adventures or step out of your comfort zone, take some ridiculous classes just because you want to, but most importantly don’t pretend to be someone your not just to impress people. There are so many people in college trying to figure out who they are. If you are just yourself I promise you your friends will find you and they will be by your side for the best and craziest memories to come.
