MY COLLEGE KICKS ASS BECAUSE…
I love Texas Tech because of the long-running traditions we have on campus. Just setting foot on our campus gives you this feeling of excitement. The attitude and feeling around Tech is an amazing one to experience, and it’s also a lot of fun.
THE MOST MEMORABLE THING I’VE DONE SINCE FRESHMAN YEAR IS…
I competed in SO Sing with my sorority and our paired fraternity. Performing with so many people watching was terrifying, but so memorable! It was a lot of fun because we also got really close with everybody in practice, and now a lot of those people are my really good friends.
I MAJOR IN…
Nursing is my major. I want to do ER nursing and get some trauma training through the Air Force after graduation. After I come back from my initial tour/time of service, I want to go back to school and get my masters in nursing and become a nurse practitioner midwife. This will allow me to work in women’s and infants health with autonomy among doctors. I want to use my degree to go to underdeveloped countries and help with women’s and infant’s health.
OH YEAH, AND YOU SHOULD PROBABLY KNOW THAT…
I am currently working to pay for school completely on my own. My mother had breast cancer about 10 years ago, and we’re still paying for that, so I decided school was my responsibility. I want to eventually start a scholarship fund for people who have had sick parents and are financially impacted by it.
IF YOU COULD TRAVEL ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD YOU GO?
India, it’s so beautiful! It’s just the right combination of color and life. I also really want to go on a medical mission there.
WHY DO YOU WANT TO BE MISS COED 2016?
I would love to be Miss COED 2016 because I think the world needs to know my story, and I believe COED is the best way to tell it.
IF YOU COULD GIVE OUR READERS ONE PIECE OF ADVICE, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
Always give back. It will never feel bad and will always be worth it.
