MY COLLEGE KICKS ASS BECAUSE…
I love UT because there is so much diversity, and I am constantly being pushed out of my comfort zone. Everyone is really fun and weird, so it’s awesome because you can always just be yourself. Also the location is perfect. It’s the ideal mix because one night you could be downtown on Dirty Sixth, and the next day you could be paddle boarding or hiking through the beautiful city of Austin.
THE COOLEST PLACE TO PARTY ON CAMPUS IS…
Anywhere on west campus is wild. There is ALWAYS something happening in west campus because that’s where the upperclassmen and most of the sorority and fraternity houses are located.
THE MOST MEMORABLE THING I’VE DONE SINCE FRESHMAN YEAR IS…
Bid day is definitely something I will remember for the rest of my life. It was a night full of insane events that I will not forget that night. We were decorated head to toe in flash tattoos and then went from a club on Sixth (which I was the first to fall in the pool, of course!) to some frat parties. I even danced on stage with Afroman. It was defiantly a night for the books.
DESCRIBE YOUR LAST FRIDAY NIGHT.
I was asked to be this guy’s date for one of the fraternity pledge lines, and it was a lot of fun. There were hundreds of people. It was just a normal party, but then at midnight, the actives took the pledges to the basement and then they did who knows what, but after when they came up, there was a huge champagne shower and everyone danced around. It was a great night.
I MAJOR IN…
I am majoring in petroleum engineering but I plan on minoring in business so I can have a technical and business background. I plan on becoming a production or reservoir engineer with the hopes of making our country energy independent by optimizing the resources we have in our own country.
OH YEAH, AND YOU SHOULD PROBABLY KNOW THAT…
I’m really outgoing and always down for any adventure. I have a lot of random hobbies like offshore fishing and scuba diving. My family and I used to joke and say I was the son my father, so I’m kind of a mix between a tom boy and very girly. I guess it’s the best of both worlds, though!
AT SCHOOL, I’M INVOLVED IN…
My sorority is Alpha Xi Delta which keeps me very busy, but I’m also involved in many other clubs around campus. I’m involved in Young Life, SPE (Society of Petroleum Engineers), WEP (Women In Engineering), Texas Exes, and I plan on joining the soccer intramural team.
IF YOU COULD TRAVEL ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD YOU GO?
I would go to Australia because one of my dreams is to dive the Great Barrier Reef and also my favorite animal, the wallaby, is native there.
WHY DO YOU WANT TO BE MISS COED 2016?
I would like to be Miss COED 2016 because I think I would be a great candidate for UT and I would like all the readers to have a glimpse of the college life at the University of Texas.
IF YOU COULD GIVE OUR READERS ONE PIECE OF ADVICE, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
Work hard and play hard. College is such a memorable time, and it’s full of the typical college movie parties that look like project X, but school comes first in the end. You should always do your homework first before you party.
