UFC 227 Fight Night Weights: How Much Did Fighters Weigh In Cage?

UFC 227 weigh-ins went off without a hitch. All 24 fighters successfully made weight for their fights over the weekend, but they failed to stay within California State Athletic Commission regulations on fight night. The CSAC can recommend fighters move up a division in the future if they weigh more than 10 percent above their contracted weight class during a fight-day weigh-in. For UFC 227, all but six fighters came in over that mark.
TJ Dillashaw entered the cage at 149.5 pounds after weighing in at 135 pounds, a 10.7 percent increase, while Henry Cejudo enetered the cage at 141 pounds and Demetrious Johnson entered at 142; both well above the 10 percent mark.
Cody Garbrandt weighed in at 142, just 7 pounds above his contracted weight for a 5.2 percent increase.
The biggest jump in weight came from Alex Perez and Brett Johnson. Perez weighed in at 126 and jumped 16.3 percent to 146.5 pounds on fight night. Johns, meanwhile, saw a 16.2 percent increase from 135.2 to 158 pounds.
There is no word on whether the California State Athletic Commission will officially recommend any fighters move up in weight, but it is interesting to see the official figures and the drastic weight cuts that some fighters are putting their bodies through.
