How To Hit On Random Models On The Street [VIDEO]

While this guy seems like a creepy dude straight off of "Casting Couch," he somehow is able to hit on and land a model. Yep, he literally just goes up to random girls that happen to be models (I think he creeps outside of a modeling agency). Having just compared him to a creepy pornographic director, I have to admit that he's pretty f*cking good at what he does. Not only does he succeed in going on a second date with her, he winds up at her pole dancing class. This is a definite must see.

Washington Square Park After The 8th Biggest Snow Storm in NYC History [17 Photos]

What was supposed to be 3" to 6"inches of snow in NYC last night quickly turned to 19" when it was all said and done. Many parts of New York are now a slushy mess, but Washington Square Park was looking pretty gorgeous this morning on my walk to work... despite the occasional patch of yellow snow. Gotta love the snowiest January on record.

Be An “Urban Cowboy” At Johnny Utah’s

If you're in NYC and looking for a great place to throw back a few drinks and get a little rowdy, Johnny Utah's is the place to be. Located in the heart of Rockefeller Center, JU's sports some of the hottest bartenders and hostesses in town in addition to dozens of flat screens and projection TVs. But best of all, there's a $25,000 mechanical bull right in the center of the bar that you can ride for free!

Kanye West Loves White Homeless People [Photos]

We tend to neg on Kanye 'Fishsticks' West just about any chance we get - from his incredibly awkward interviews to his lyrics - he's the cocky douche we love to hate, but a rapper we can't live without. For the most part, the criticism is much deserved.  But walking home last night, I ran into Chris, a West Village / Soho homeless staple, sporting a brand new pair of blue kicks. My first thought was, "This is why you're homeless, dude. Spending handouts on flashy shoes instead of business cards."  Good thing I asked what the deal was.

Miniature Tigers and Neon Indian Rock Governors Island with Bushmills [29 Photos]

One of the best things about summer in NYC is the numerous free concert series that take place virtually daily . Case in point, the Gone to Governors series at the beach @ Governors Island. Last Saturday, I made the short trek out to the island to catch Arizona's Miniature Tigers and Neon Indian from my hometown, Austin, Texas. Unfortunately, I was still on the ferry when Mini Tigers kicked off their short 6 song set, but from what I could hear, they sounded damn tight. I found the next two acts to be a little less than good, but found myself very happy holed up in the 'Captain's Club' sipping on a free Bushmills or six.

The Flaming Lips Slay Spin’s 25 Anniversary Party in NYC [28 Photos]

The Flaming Lips took to the stage in NYC last night for night two of Spin Magazine's epic 5 night 25th Anniversary Party. In typical Lips fashion, the show was an orgasmic explosion of light, color and confetti... with the occasional dancing guy in a bear suit. The set kicked off with Wayne Coyne climbing into an 8 foot diameter balloon as the band performed "The Fear". And like every Flaming Lips show... it was obvious and awesome. The party continues with The Black Keys tonight, The National on Thursday and Spiritualized on Friday. If you're not in NYC or can't make the show, Spin is streaming all the shows live, so check it out.

Dial Scan from NYC FM Radio on the Night John Lennon Was Killed [VIDEO]

It's hard to believe it's been 29 years since that infamous day Mark David Chapman cowardly gunned down John Lennon in front of the Dakota in NYC. It was a time when the dial on your radio was an analog wheel and to get from station to station you spun the wheel. Sounds pretty archaic I know. This audio clip is an analog dial scan from New York radio recorded shortly after Lennon was killed.

I Snagged A Cab From Jon Stewart [PHOTO]

Every morning I hail a cab at the same corner in the West Village in NYC. Most days, it's an easy grab, rarely a wait. But this morning I was running late and there were literally 5 people standing up and down the avenue flailing for a cab's attention. So, I did what any good New Yorker would do, walked deeper into the stream of traffic and snagged the first cab. This FTW moment quickly became a moment of FAIL

Downstairs from the COED offices is a bike messenger office. Diary of an NYC Drug Dealer: Week 2

I don't know if you live in the Northeast, but here in NYC we were punished by what seemed like month after month after month of greyness and cold and all-the-time wet with snow and ice and rain. But now the sun is shining, and it's nice - even though riding is like, maniacs of every race, creed and color coming at you from every direction; nearly every moment is like, what the f*ck, how am I not dead?

Diary of an NYC Drug Dealer: Week 1

In New York City, anything can be delivered straight to your doorstep, from Chinese food to rare antique furniture - to the best weed on planet Earth. That's right, you can just call a number and have a bud-toting bike messenger show up at their apartment with a buffet of different strains of weed. We caught up with one of these drug delivery men who agreed to tell his tale here on COED. This is his story, from his perspective.

What Happens When a 747 Flies Low Over NYC [Video]

For some dumbass reason, yesterday somebody thought it would be a great idea to fly a 747 really, really low over New York City (while it was being followed by a fighter jet), without letting everybody know in advance that it was actually a photo-op for the President's Air Force One. Needless to say, everyone freaked the hell out.

Dream Week a True Test for Resurgent Knicks

Don't look now, but the New York Knicks are winners of eight of their past 11 games, including five straight at home. They have surged up the standings to a 21-25 record, one-half game out of the eighth and final playoff spot in the East, and are already only two wins behind last season's disgraceful total. But is their recent success a mirage?
