ABOUT Michaela
Arizona State University, Sophomore
I love my college because…
Arizona State holds so many opportunities for students to succeed; with a diverse and enthusiastic student body, gorgeous campus, and compassionate faculty. Specifically, as a Political Science student, I’ve had the pleasure of working with amazing professionals such as John Dean, who was the counsel to former President Nixon. There’s a merit to the campus that is awarded the title of “#1 Most Innovative College in America.” I chose to attend Arizona State University because I am the first in my family to attend higher education so I wanted to take advantage of it with a fresh start.
I really hate…
dishonesty. There’s no need to lie to others, especially those you care about, because all it ever does is bring negative vibes that’ll eventually ruin your relationships. It’s much easier to simply tell the truth and fix whatever problems may arise from it.
I major in…
Political Science and minor in Business. I am aspiring to become a lawyer for the bulk of my career, yet I’m extremely passionate about policy so I hope to translate that into working for our government. I would love to work closely with foreign relations as the world we live in is becoming chaotic.
At school, you can find me…
as an active member of Alpha Phi, in the Hearthstone Club, as well serving as a field organizer for Senator John McCain’s re-election campaign.
My ideal first date would be…
going to dinner and then just taking a stroll somewhere. I love just joking around and getting to know someone else’s charm.
My favorite late night study snack is definitely…
chocolate almonds. It’s a bit off diet, I know… but I have an absolute weakness for them. I have a sweet tooth!
If I had 24 hours left to live, I would…
spend each minute with my friends and family. I’d go to all of the little places that have made the most memories. Just cherishing the life I’ve had.
If I could change one thing about the world, it would be…
the way that people treat one another. I really think that there are so many powerful messages being spread through social means and in a time that we need to be involved and supportive of one another, many are just looking to shut others down before they are willing to listen.
I’m going to be Miss COED 2017 because…
I think COED is doing such an amazing thing to look for genuine girls involved on their college campuses and making an impact on a micro scale, and I’d love to be able to promote that message!
