ABOUT Molly
University of Utah, Senior
I love my college because…
when I walked onto the campus, I instantly fell in love with everything about it. There are always colorful flowers planted all around campus and it’s on a mountain! I knew I had to go to the U the moment I got here. It’s the best because even though we have over 30,000 students, it feels like a tight-knit community. We have major school pride (check out @theMUSS) and Greek life is relatively small, but it’s a blast because everyone gets to know each other!
I really hate…
people without a sense of humor. Come on, live at little!
I major in…
Ballet with a minor in Health. I’ve been dancing since I was 4 and just never stopped. I love dancing more than anything; it’s my escape from reality. I’m planning on auditioning for companies closer to my hometown in Minnesota during spring semester. The ultimate goal is to be dancing with a company by next year! I’m also obsessed with animals, so I want to work with animal shelters when I’m not dancing.
My hometown is awesome because…
it’s underrated. A lot of people give me a hard time about being from Minnesota, but it’s the best. The culture is great. The people are awesome. I’m a two minute drive from the Mall of America. Also, have you seen how great the Vikings are doing this season?
My ideal first date would be…
nothing fancy, please. We could grab a drink or get some food and then go talk somewhere. Maybe go for a walk around a lake or at a park. I’m not good at the whole dating thing, so honestly anything that makes me feel less awkward about the whole situation.
My favorite late night study snack is…
McDonald’s.
If I had 24 hours left to live, I would…
spend them with my family, friends, and cats doing something and not thinking about the fact that I only have 24 hours.
If I could change one thing about the world, it would be…
get rid of animal cruelty and the harmful conditions that animals are put in for breeding purposes. I volunteer with Best Friends Animal Society and full-heartedly support their message of ‘bringing about a time of no more homeless pets.’ I want to stop euthanasia in shelters, stop animal abuse, and find homes for all pets, no matter their personality.
If I could give my younger self one piece of advice, I would say…
college goes so fast; hold onto it while you can!
I’m going to be Miss COED 2017 because…
college has made me into a confident woman. I love helping others and want to be a role model on a larger scale. It makes me happy that girls in my sorority chapter look up to me and it drives me to set a better example for them. I want to show girls that doing what they love best and taking their own path is the best decision that they can make. I have dedicated myself to the things I care about and would certainly dedicate myself to being Miss COED.
