Temple University, Senior

I love my college because…

of the open atmosphere and the fact that it is so close to the city! Temple University students hold themselves with so much pride in being Temple Made and Temple Proud and represent our school well, so of course it’s better than any other school.

I really hate when…

people talk behind your back but don’t have the courage to say it to your face. I believe that if you have a problem with somebody, it should be handled like an adult and be brought up in a verbal confrontation and should be handled appropriately, not like middle school girls.

I major in…

Kinesiology, the study of movement. I want to became a physical therapist after my undergrad and graduate education. Hopefully I’ll be working with children or athletes!

At school, you can find me…

as the captain of the Temple University Diamond Gems Dance Team. We recently had auditions for our 2016-2017 season and I was selected as the first co-captain. I am so proud to dance with a new, talented group of girls this upcoming season and plan to lead the girls positively and with dedication. I am also a member of the Temple Pre-Physical Therapy Association, which is an organization that volunteers everywhere and anywhere to help out the community of Philadelphia.

My ideal first date would be…

something chill, nothing too fancy. I feel like when the date is over the top, it puts pressure on everyone to act a certain way. But if you guys go out to a nice place to eat or somewhere else casual, you can act natural and get to know each other as best as you can.

My favorite late night study snack is…

definitely anything chocolate!

If I had 24 hours left to live, I would…

travel to Italy or an island somewhere with my family and my closest friends

If I could change one thing about the world, it would be…

Discrimination, no one should be discriminated against without giving them the chance to open up and allowing you to get to know them.

If I could give my younger self one piece of advice, I would say…

“Don’t worry about boys. Just focus on yourself and learn how to love yourself first before anyone else.”

I’m going to be Miss COED 2017 because…

I believe I represent my school in a positive light and that I can show younger girls that you can go to a university and have fun while focusing on academics, friends, and other activities you’re interested in. College has been the best couple years of my life, I would love to pay my school back by representing them in the best way possible.
