UFC 245 Medical Suspensions: Usman, Covington Could Miss 6 Months

UFC 245 is in the books and the 2019 pay-per-view calendar has come to an end. That has left fans wondering when they can see their favorite fighters from the card return to action, but many could have to wait until the second half of 2020 to see their next bouts.

On Tuesday, December 17, the Nevada State Athletic Commission announced the full list of medical suspensions from the event which includes potential six-month lay-offs for a number of main card fighters including welterweight champion Kamaru Usman, challenger Colby Covington, and new featherweight titleholder Alexander Volkanovski.

Covington suffered a broken jaw prior to his TKO loss to Usman in the main event at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

How long will your favorite fighter be out of action?
