Last night, Draymond Green got on Instagram to take a shot at Conor McGregor for wearing a Warriors jersey. Here’s Green pledging his allegiance to Floyd Mayweather.

Green thought that McGregor was rocking his jersey, but it was actually an old C.J. Watson jersey, as the point guard used to wear #23 for the Warriors before Green. If you thought Conor was going to give Green a pass for this blunder, boy, oh boy, were you ever mistaken.
Via Bleacher Report, here’s how McGregor responded to Green on Instagram.
McGregor responded to Green in the comments, saying of the No. 23 jersey: “That’s C.J Watson mate. I don’t know who the f–k you are. No disrespect tho kid, keep hustling and stay in school.”
He added: “Now ask yourself why I’m rocking C.J. when I don’t know or give a f–k about basketball. I dribble heads off the floor. Not a ball. This is no game here kid.”
“I dribble heads off the floor” is an absolutely fantastic line. McGregor might not be able to box worth a damn, but he is most definitely an elite trash talker. As for why the hell McGregor would wear a Watson jersey in the first place, there is a method to his madness.
According to USA Today, Watson and Mayweather have a history that McGregor loves to bring up to irk Floyd.
With Mayweather he has plenty to go at. Back in January, back when the fight still seemed improbable, McGregor took aim at his opponent’s ugly domestic violence record. Mayweather spent time in prison for battering Josie Harris, mother to three of his children, in September 2010. Having split with Harris, she says he entered her home in the middle of the night and was infuriated to find messages from NBA player C.J. Watson on her phone. Mayweather’s son Koraun, then 10, told the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department that he had seen his father on top of Harris — hitting and kicking her.
Earlier this year, McGregor posted a cartoon of himself standing above Mayweather and holding two belts, with the quote “call me C.J. Watson” written beneath. His tack might have changed now the fight has been made. After all, the Irishman is mightily grateful for the chance to earn himself a whopping payday of around $75 million. Yet even if he leaves the domestic violence issue alone, he surely has plenty more in store for Mayweather.
Talk about cold-blooded. McGregor is out here playing chess, while these other dudes are playing checkers.
