The Big East Tournament has clearly lost some of its luster over the years, as many of their prominent basketball programs have joined other conferences. But it’s still held at “The World’s Most Famous Arena” and it’s featuring the defending National Champions, so it’s most definitely must-see television.
The 2017 Big East Tournament will take place from Wednesday, March 8 through Saturday, March 11 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Villanova is the heavy favorite, as they are currently ranked #2 in the country and they rolled through the Big East with a 15-3 record in conference play.
Even though the Wildcats won the whole damn thing last year, Seton Hall won the 2016 Big East Tournament. The Pirates beat Villanova in a thrilling 69-67 championship game.
