MY COLLEGE KICKS ASS BECAUSE…

I love my college because there is no place that compares to the Queen City. Being in the growing city of Charlotte provides me with so many opportunities that I would not find elsewhere. Plus, our campus is growing immensely everyday. We are now on our third year of having a football team, which has been incredible for me to see grow over the years.

THE MOST MEMORABLE THING I’VE DONE SINCE FRESHMAN YEAR IS…

The most memorable thing I have done since freshman year would be cheering at the UNCC vs. Miami basketball game. We filled up our entire arena and the atmosphere was exhilarating.

I MAJOR IN…

My major is exercise science, and after I graduate, I want to go on to graduate school to become a PA (physicians assistant). Ever since I was a little girl, I have loved medicine, and I want to help people feel their best.

OH YEAH, AND YOU SHOULD PROBABLY KNOW THAT…

One thing you should know about me is that I LOVE to workout. The gym is 100% my happy place. I don’t just like to do the typical workout all the time though. I’m extremely outdoorsy, and I love to hike and kayak to get in a good workout.

IF YOU COULD TRAVEL ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD YOU GO?

Personally, I would want to travel to Thailand because of the beautiful scenery. But I know the world doesn’t revolve around me and what I want. If I could travel anywhere right now, it would be to Bolivia. Being one of the poorest countries in Latin America, I want to go and help the children there. Even if it’s just providing what little health care I’m able to give, or teaching them something new. Just being able to bring a smile to one of their faces would make me incredibly happy.

WHY DO YOU WANT TO BE MISS COED 2016?

Being Miss COED 2016 is much more than a title with prizes and a party. Being Miss COED means that I can be somebody who friends and peers can look up to and count on. Miss COED means being the absolute best person that I can be, whether that be in school, cheer, or family/friend life. It would mean that I would get to represent UNC Charlotte as Miss COED, which would be an incredible honor and privilege because I LOVE MY UNIVERSITY!

IF YOU COULD GIVE OUR READERS ONE PIECE OF ADVICE, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

One piece of advice that I could give to readers is NEVER let anyone tell you that you’re not good enough. Throughout your entire life, you’ll have people trying to put you down and discourage you from your dreams. Don’t listen to them! Never let a professor, boyfriend, family member, or friend tell you that you aren’t good enough. Chase your dreams with the courage that comes from your own heart; disregard the haters.
