MY COLLEGE KICKS ASS BECAUSE…
I love my college because I feel like a big fish in a little sea. Growing up in a small town, I always knew that small town settings were the place for me, and UTA gives me that. It’s honestly my home away from home.
THE MOST MEMORABLE THING I’VE DONE SINCE FRESHMAN YEAR IS…
The most memorable experience I’ve had in all of my college years has been going through rush and experiencing being in a sorority! It’s an amazing experience that I would recommend to any and all incoming freshmen! It was definitely a life changer for the best.
I MAJOR IN…
I am an early childhood education major. I absolutely love kids and have a strong passion and desire to teach! I would love to one day become a first grade teacher!
OH YEAH, AND YOU SHOULD PROBABLY KNOW THAT…
I am engaged!! My fiancé is in the military (US Navy) and is stationed in Great Lakes, IL currently. We are getting married July 1, 2016, and I just bought my wedding dress! 🙂
AT SCHOOL, I’M INVOLVED IN…
Well for one, I am in Alpha Chi Omega, a women’s sorority at UT Arlington! In my sorority, we do a lot of hands-on volunteering with women, as well as children at Safe Haven, the local women’s shelter! Along with volunteering, I also do tutoring/nannying for children.
WHY DO YOU WANT TO BE MISS COED 2016?
I want to be Miss COED 2016 because I think it’s a great way to show all the hard work, ambition, and success that I have as a college student. Not many people can go through college and say they’ve done it all, and neither can I, but I want to do everything that I hold myself to do. Any and everything is possible if you pursue yourself to do so!
IF YOU COULD GIVE OUR READERS ONE PIECE OF ADVICE, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
My advice would be to slow down and take life one step at a time. It all goes by way too fast, especially when you’re in college. I’m already a junior, and I don’t even know where the time has gone! It’s fun; enjoy it. Go out with your friends, go to that concert on a Wednesday night, tell that cute boy in your science class that you think he’s hot, give second chances, and don’t hold grudges so much. Life goes on, and it’s not fair all the time, but who the hell cares in the end? Just love the life you live, and live the life you love.
