Ellis Parlier, a 19-year-old student from Midland, North Carolina, has been identified as one of the victims who was killed in the University of North Carolina-Charollete mass shooting on Tuesday, April 30.

Parlier, 19-years-old, was killed after 22-year-old gunman and former UNCC history student Trystan Andrew Terrell began open firing on the University of North Carolina-Charlotte campus on Tuesday, April 30.
In addition to Parlier, 21-year-old Riley Howell was killed and four other people were injured.
UNCC Chancellor Philip L. DuBois confirmed Parlier’s tragic passing.
Students at the University of North Carolina-Charlotte are planning to hold a candlelight vigil for the victims at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1, at the campus’ Star Quad.
UNCC Shooting: Everything We Know
22-year-old former UNCC history student Trystan Andrew Terrell, who is currently in police custody at a North Carolina Jail, began open firing on the University of North Carolina-Charlotte campus on Tuesday, April 30, killing two and injuring another four.
Local police first received reports of an “active shooter” in the Kennedy Building on South Library Lane around 5:24 p.m. local time.
In response to the shooting, the university was immediately placed on lockdown and various police agencies and emergency services all responded to the scene.
At the time of this writing, police are still working to determine a motive.
In addition to the deceased, the injured victims have been identified as follows (spelling unconfirmed):
- Drew Pescaro, 19-years-old from Apex, North Carolina
- Sean Dehart, 20-years-old from Apex, North Carolina
- Rami Alramatin, 20-years-old from Saudi Arabia
- Emily Haupt, 23-years-old from Charlotte, North Carolina
Terrell remains in police custody and is currently awaiting his first court appearance.
