Kamaru Usman put on the performance of a lifetime in the co-main event of UFC 235 on Saturday, March 2 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Usman faced off against welterweight champion Tyron Woodley and dominated the titleholder for five rounds to become the new champion and 10th in promotional history.
Usman becomes the fourth fighter in UFC history to start 10-0 in his octagon career. With that, he joins Anderson Silva, Khabib Nurmagomedov and Royce Gracie.
With the win, Usman also becomes the first African-born champion in UFC history and the first Nigerian titleholder the promotion has seen.
