The Ultimate Fighting Championship returns on Tuesday, July 24 with Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender 16 at The Ultimate Fighter Gym in Las Vegas as up-and-coming prospects in mixed martial arts look to earn contracts in the sport’s top promotion. This week, former NFL standout Greg Hardy returns to action under the Dana White’s Contender Series banner for the second straight time when he faces off against undefeated heavyweight prospect Tebaris Gordon.
In his first appearance on the Contender Series, Hardy squared off against fellow NFL veteran Austen Lane and scored a devastating knockout finish.
Shortly into the first round, Hardy uncorked a vicious right hook that immediately dropped Lane to the mat. As Lane was attempting to recover, Hardy followed up with a heavy left hand that put Lane down for the count and forced the referee to come in and bring an end to the fight.
