Dana White’s Contender Series returns for season 2 on Tuesday, June 12, 2018. In the first event of the new season, a very controversial figure is being given an opportunity to earn a UFC contract. Former NFL star Greg Hardy, who has a violent past which includes serious domestic abuse matters, will be entering the Octagon for his professional mixed martial arts debut against fellow former NFLer Austen Lane.
While Hardy is the most recognizable name on the card, the main event features two undefeated light heavyweight prospects, Alonzo Menifield (6-0) and Dashawn Boatwright (3-0). Menifield has previously fought in Bellator, LFA, and RFA.
Menifield previously appeared on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series 3, scoring a win over Daniel olly, but he did not receive a contract.
The co-main event features CES MMA welterweight champion Chris Curtis (17-5) vs. Sean Lally (7-2).
