UFC 217 is almost here and already it’s one of the most packed UFC nights in a long time! Announced all the way back in March, this historic UFC match is taking place in November and we can’t be more excited! Winner of the third season of The Ultimate Fighter and Middleweight Champion, Michael Bisping, will face off against former two-time Welterweight Champion, Georges St. Pierre, in the ring. The fight will take place at New York’s own Madison Square Garden, becoming the second fight to take place at the famed arena.
Bisping and St. Pierre will face off for World Middleweight Championship belt at UFC 217 and the match on November 4th will be one to watch! After beating Johny Hendricks back in November of 2013, Georges St. Pierre is finally coming out of his four year retirement with UFC 217. The event launches his first of a four fight contract with the UFC and he was swiftly booked to fight Michael Bisping. Bisping makes his second title defense since winning the Middleweight Championship at UFC 199 back in June 2016!
The headlining fight between Bisping and St. Pierre is sure to be bringing in thousands of fans but other fights in the fight card are definitely sure to fire up the night. Current Bantamweight champion, Cody Garbrandt, will face off against former champion, T.J. Dillashaw, in a match for the championship. The match was supposed to be the headliner for UFC 213 but a back injury to Garbrandt, the match was forced to be postponed. Also facing off at the event will be Joanna Jędrzejczyk and Rose Namajunas for the Women’s Strawweight Championship.
All three of these fights plus all the other on the Fight Card, UFC 217 is sure to be a great fight night and quality entertainment from UFC!
