The Fighting Irish played in the very first game of the 2017 NCAA Tournament, and they barely avoided being upset by the (12) Princeton Tigers. Notre Dame prevailed 60-58 after Princeton couldn’t convert a wide open three-pointer with just seconds left in the game.
In West Virginia’s first game, (13) Bucknell hung around until the bitter end. The Bison fought hard, but ultimately, West Virginia was just too much for them. The Mountaineers won 86-80, and hopefully, Elijah Macon will regain feeling in his face in time for today’s game.
