When it comes to the NCAA Tournament, Kentucky and Northern Kentucky are complete polar opposites. Last Sunday, the Wildcats made history, as they qualified for the March Madness tournament for a record 56th time. Meanwhile, the team from Northern Kentucky made their very first bid into the big dance.
Both teams have made history. The Kentucky Wildcats have qualified the most times for the NCAA Tournament. On the other end of the aisle, Norse has become the second team since 1970 to enter March Madness during the first year that they were eligible.
It’d be an embarrassment if the Wildcats were knocked out of the tournament after making history. Especially, when you consider who they’re playing against. But you shouldn’t take Norse lightly. They have won 12 out of their last 14 games. Tonight, they’re looking to upset the Wildcats in Indianapolis.
