WATCH: Chinese Diver Says Yes To Marriage Proposal After Winning A Silver Medal

He Zi gets a silver medal and then a ring

Chinese diver He Zi won a silver medal today in the Women’s Diving 3m Springboard Final, but that wasn’t the only hardware she got. Her boyfriend, fellow Chinese diver Qin Kai, got down on one knee and asked He Zi to marry him. Luckily for this casanova, she said yes.

I  actually didn’t see this happen live, but I’m guessing he must have first gotten turned down by the diver who won the gold, right?

She said YES!

Seriously, this is a nice moment. But when these public proposals happen I always root for the woman to say no. It just seems unfair to put them on the spot like that with the whole world watching. Call me a jerk if you want, but you couldn’t look me in the eye and tell me this video wouldn’t be way more entertaining if she turned this dude down.

Now let’s just hope she doesn’t take that diamond ring to the dangerous parts of Rio.

Now you might not be able to marry any of these divers, but you can enjoy their best photos:
