David E. Eisenhauer, an 18-year-old Virginia Tech engineering student and cross-country athlete, has been arrested in connection of the death of 13-year-old Nicole Madison Lovell over the weekend. Police also arrested Natalie M. Keepers in connection with Nicole’s death.
Police believe that “Eisenhauer used [his] relationship to [Nicole] to his advantage to abduct the 13-year-old and then kill her. Keepers helped Eisenhauer dispose of Nicole’s body.”
Police stated that they arrested Eisenhauer based on tips/leads they got from social media. Furthermore, police say David and Nicole knew each other–but they haven’t elaborated on that relationship or how it allegedly turned to murder.
David Eisenhauer was a standout runner from as early as his high school days, when ABC affiliate WMAR named him the student-athlete of the week. He joined the VA Tech cross-country team as a freshman but has been suspended indefinitely.
His photos have also been removed from the school’s web pages.
