Star Wars: The Force Awakens had a rough start at Hollywood’s Arclight Cinemas after the projector broke down during one of the late-night 3D screenings. That was enough to freak out the audience — and then the movie started back with a big gap, which really had the crowd losing their collective mind.
The good news is that the resulting footage is probably the only bootleg Star Wars: The Force Awakens video that will stay up on the internet this week. That includes a glimpse at Maz Kanata, too It’s only a VERY MINOR SPOILER to note that’s the character played by Lupita Nyong’o under a lot of CGI makeup. Whoot, there she is. Also, the chaos in the theater is a lot of fun. Some people are really freaking out, but others seem to be enjoying the madness. The audience members were all given free return tickets, too. That’s why this didn’t turn into a riot…
