We’ve been looking forward to Stretch for a while–even if the crime actioner seemed like a certain kind of gonzo movie, with debt-ridden chauffeur Patrick Wilson running into all kinds of quirky criminal types on a night out with an eccentric millionaire. We know that director Joe Carnahan has done some fun stuff with quirky criminal types. Narc briefly made him a really big deal as a straight drama with weird characters, but Smokin’ Aces was also fun as schlock. Then he made up for the big-screen A-Team with Liam Neeson punching wolves in The Grey.
Sadly, Stretch is still ending up as a VOD title after months of sitting on the shelves of studios. We’re still hoping that the movie will get a token appearance in a Manhattan theater on October 14th, but it’s a very limited release. Most people will see it on the small screen–despite Stretch making our list of Unreleased Movies With Hot Actresses That We Need to See. In fact, we’re talking about a movie with Jessica Alba, Mindy Robinson, Cassandra Starr, Brooklyn Decker, and Anne McDaniels,
