Brooklyn Decker on “Friends With Better Lives” [SEE HER TONIGHT]

See Her Tonight

Brooklyn Decker on Friends With Better Lives

(9:00 PM EST, CBS)

How does CBS follow up the hour-long finale of the long-running How I Met Your Mother? Well, they’re sure giving the See Her Tonight column some comfort by debuting the new sitcom Friends With Better Lives. That would be because it stars Brooklyn Decker, and we don’t even mind that this reminds us that tennis bum Andy Roddick has a better life than ourselves..

Anyway, Friends With Better Lives is expected to provide some momentum for CBS until the network launches How I Met Your Father later this year. Brooklyn Decker isn’t some kind of stunt casting, either. The (sadly) former model has been working her way up to a steady acting gig. She started out in 2009 by showing up in cool series like Chuck and Royal Pains, and also joined the parade of fashion figurers who guested on Ugly Betty. Then she hit the big screen with a surprisingly fun role in the 2011 Adam Sandler comedy Just Go With It. Sadly, that was followed up by the 2012 big-screen bomb Battleship.

Brooklyn’s career didn’t suffer too much from that one, though. She showed off more comic skills in episodes of The League  and New Girl, so sitcom stardom must have seemed like a logical move. We’re also looking forward to Brooklyn in the upcoming Stretch (which also has See Her Tonight faves Mindy Robinson and Anne McDaniels), and she’s also going to make an appearance in Warren Beatty’s upcoming Howard Hughes biopic.

So let’s hope that Friends With Better Lives is about to launch a nine-season run to rival How I Met Your Mother–but if it doesn’t there’s still lots of Brooklyn in our future. And you have lots and lots of Brooklyn right now, which makes your own life pretty good…
