Boise State University, Freshman

MY COLLEGE KICKS ASS BECAUSE…

I love Boise State University. I applied online and also completed orientation online without ever visiting Boise, let alone, ever being in Idaho before. Something just felt right. Move-in day came along, and I fell in love with the campus, the weather, and our school spirit. I experienced the football scrimmage the first day and realized all the passion Boise has for the Broncos!

I MAJOR IN…

I am majoring in mechanical engineering and looking into bio medical engineering in the future. I want to be able to come in and organize my team and manage a site or project whether its a machine, engine or medicine/in medical relation.

OH YEAH, AND YOU SHOULD PROBABLY KNOW THAT…

I am a positive person and try to see the good in everything, believing everything happens for a reason. My mom, step dad, little brother and little sister still live in Wisconsin where I grew up. My dad, step mom, and two little sisters moved to Colorado my 8th grade summer and I went with them. I went to high school and graduated from Mountain Vista High School in a suburb off of Denver called Highlands Ranch. I have torn both of my ACL’s (in each knee) playing soccer (one of my passions), and I’ve learned to never give up and endure the struggle of recovery and striving to be the best I can be.

IF YOU COULD TRAVEL ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD YOU GO?

For my enjoyment and vacation, I would love to travel to Europe experiencing Greece to Italy. My dad lived in Naples, Italy for some time and I would love to experience the same because I strongly believe in emerging ourselves into many cultures. I would also love to go to a country in need of my help and be with the people whether they are in need of shelter or food.

DESCRIBE YOUR LAST FRIDAY NIGHT.

My last Friday night consisted of a surprise birthday party for my RA. Our floor stayed up late, decorated his door, and waited until he came back for the night. We sang happy birthday at midnight and had cake to celebrate!

WHY DO YOU WANT TO BE MISS COED 2016?

I would be honored to represent Boise State University and COED! I feel a passion to inspire, reach out, and encourage others. I want others to be just as excited as I am to be going to Boise State!!

IF YOU COULD GIVE OUR READERS ONE PIECE OF ADVICE, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

Stay positive! Work hard for your goals. Strive to be the best you can be!
