MY COLLEGE KICKS ASS BECAUSE…
I LOVE Colorado State University for so many reasons! The people are so easy-going and fun. I always have a blast and look forward to the school year being reunited with everyone. The town is beautiful. I was born and raised in Colorado, and Fort Collins is one of my favorite cities. I love the campus and how it’s so large but you always run into people you know. I also love my sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha! Those girls make college the best experience.
THE COOLEST PLACE TO PARTY ON CAMPUS IS…
I would say the best place to party is at The District. It’s a giant, modern apartment complex with a pool. It’s located directly behind my sorority house, and thats the place to be on the weekends. You can pretty much walk in anywhere and see someone you know or meet new people and have a great time!
THE MOST MEMORABLE THING I’VE DONE SINCE FRESHMAN YEAR IS…
Since freshman year, one of the most memorable things I’ve done was probably CSU’s Undie Run! Its a 5k at the end of the school year, right before finals to let off a little steam. Everyone shows up at night on the campus in clothes. Then right as the race starts, everyone takes off their clothes and strips down to their bra and underwear! The clothes are all donated, so its for a good cause and its a blast! Seeing all of your classmates running around almost nude…theres nothing better! Haha!
I MAJOR IN…
My major is journalism and media communications, and I am double minoring in sports management and business. I want to get into sports broadcasting and be a sideline reporter one day for ESPN.
AT SCHOOL, I’M INVOLVED IN…
I am in Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. I just joined our Sports Management club this past spring. I am involved also involved in our campus TV station, CTV, and will be our baseball reporter in the spring. I am in Best Buddies Club and also Society for Professional Journalists.
WHY DO YOU WANT TO BE MISS COED 2016?
I want to be Miss COED 2016 because I think I am a good representation of a girl who loves college! I feel that people want to share in my college experiences because I know how to really make the most of every moment. I feel that I can relate to a lot of people because I am well rounded. I love sports so I get along easily with guys, but I’m also a sorority girl and can get along with all types of girls! I am very accepting and open-minded. I love challenges and achieving my goals. I am driven in school, but know how to have a good time on the weekends.
IF YOU COULD GIVE OUR READERS ONE PIECE OF ADVICE, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
I would say to make the most of every moment in college. You only have four years at whatever school you choose, and those are supposed to be the best four years of your life. You should experience everything you can before getting to the real world. It’s a Tuesday night and all of your friends are going out, but you have an exam the next day… What do you choose? You should pick going out with your friends! You won’t be telling your kids one day about how well or badly you did on the exam, you’ll be telling them about the crazy things you did that night with your friends and about all of the memories you made!
