South Plains College, Sophomore

MY COLLEGE KICKS ASS BECAUSE…

I love my college because of the many great opportunities it has given me. That staff and professors are all so helpful and hope for the best in each and every student. It has the major I want and it’ll hopefully allow me to get into Texas Tech. The basketball team is so good and goes the nationals every year. (I was a cheerleader for them). All in all, the college is one of the best junior colleges I’ve come across.

I MAJOR IN…

My major is restaurant, hotel and institutional management. I want to end up moving to Uptown Dallas and pursue a career in event planning. I would love to open up my own event company. I love throwing the events, organizing and decorating them. I want to focus on small parties, weddings, and big events for companies/businesses. It would be a glamours life and something I’ve always seen myself doing.

OH YEAH, AND YOU SHOULD PROBABLY KNOW THAT…

One thing ya’ll should known about me are my views and values. I’m a very strong Christian, and I plan to always be one. I would not be where I am today if it weren’t for my faith. God has helped me through many situations and He has put me through many situations that I have learned from. I love being a Christian, and I hope ya’ll see my love for being one.

AT SCHOOL, I’M INVOLVED IN…

I am a campus ambassador, and I was a former cheerleader. I also sell Mary Kay beauty cosmetics.

DESCRIBE YOUR LAST FRIDAY NIGHT.

Last Friday night, I went to pick up my little sister and her friend. We went to eat then went to their high school football team’s game. The weather ended up being crazy, and I had to say goodbye early before I moved.

WHY DO YOU WANT TO BE MISS COED 2016?

I want to be Miss COED 2016 because I have good morals, views, and I’m a down-to-earth person. I would represent the company in many positive ways, and I think I have what it takes and the right looks for the position.

IF YOU COULD GIVE OUR READERS ONE PIECE OF ADVICE, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

The advice I would give would be to stay true to yourself and your morals. Yes, parties are fun, having sex is fun, but none of that matters in the long run. It’s the think before you do. Stay honest with yourself and respect yourself because you’ll end up with regrets if you don’t. Be positive and stay humble.
