ABOUT Savanna
California State University- Sacramento, Senior
MY COLLEGE KICKS ASS BECAUSE…
I love Sacramento State because it is a very diverse campus. We are referred to as a commuter school, which means a lot of the students commute to and from school everyday, versus living on campus. I think that this makes it harder to get involved, but the people that choose to put in the extra time greatly benefit from it. I also love that it’s centrally located by EVERYTHING. For example: Lake Tahoe is only an hour away for those who love the lake and snow, San Francisco is barely an hour and a half from us, and for me, I am only a few hours away from my parents!
THE MOST MEMORABLE THING I’VE DONE SINCE FRESHMAN YEAR IS…
I would have to say the most memorable thing I have done is join a sorority- Gamma Phi Beta. I know it sounds lame, but it was the first time I went out on a limb and did something out of my comfort zone. I am so happy did too. Just like I said, if you put in the extra time to get involved here, it pays off.
I MAJOR IN…
My major is business with a concentration in human resource/marketing. I would love to work for RedBull one day, whether it be in their HR or marketing departments.
OH YEAH, AND YOU SHOULD PROBABLY KNOW THAT…
I have walked (part of) The Great Wall of China!
IF YOU COULD TRAVEL ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD YOU GO?
I would go to the Philippines. As you can tell from my pictures, I am somewhat ethnic. Well, thats because I am half Filipino. The reason I want to go here is because I want to learn more about my culture and I have some family that still lives there!
DESCRIBE YOUR LAST FRIDAY NIGHT.
“We maxed our credit cards
And got kicked out of the bar
So we hit the boulevard.” 🎶
WHY DO YOU WANT TO BE MISS COED 2016?
I think that I am a great representation for my campus, and I would love to represent COED as well!
IF YOU COULD GIVE OUR READERS ONE PIECE OF ADVICE, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
Kindness can go a long way. We can often forget the power of little things and that even the smallest acts of respect and genuine kindness for one another can leave a lasting impression that lasts longer than the act itself.
