Christian Torres, a 16-year-old student in Reading, PA, was violently stabbed to death by a man wearing a clown costume last Sunday. According to witnesses, a man wearing a clown mask approached Torres, and their encounter turned violent. Christian Torres was killed on his own porch and two other witnesses were stabbed during the assault. They were treated at a local hospital and have been released. Since they are minors, their names haven’t been released yet.
Police haven’t yet named a suspect in the murder, but they have announced that they’re searching for a man named Avery Valentin-Bair (above) who was reportedly at the scene. Avery is 29 years old and has an outstanding warrant for a failure to appear in court on a weapons charge. Again, he’s not being named as a suspect at this time, but he is wanted for questioning.

Honestly, we’re not sure what the hell started this whole “clown” thing, but it’s clear that this trend has morphed into something that a bunch of people are doing for sh*ts and giggles. But now it’s officially gone too far. The only hope is that A) Torres’ killer is caught and brought to justice and B) that this trend ends quickly.
There have been a ton of reports recently that clowns have been luring children into the woods with candy and money, and one person was even arrested this week for wearing a clown mask and disturbing the peace.
