Seattle Seahawks' DeShawn Shead Proposes To Girlfriend On Field [VIDEO]

There have been plenty of football players who have decided to propose to their girlfriend right after a game. Seattle Seahawks defensive back DeShawn Shead decided he was going to be the next to do it. After an overtime win against the Denver Broncos, Shead told his girlfriend Jessica Martinez to meet him on the field. [photo: Seahawks.com]
According to ESPN.com, Martinez then saw her own face on the big screen as several of Shead’s teammates ran onto the field with him for the proposal. Thankfully, she said yes as can be seen on Shead’s Instagram account…

After such a difficult game for the Seahawks, it’s kind of reassuring that Shead still wanted to get the job done off the field. It’s also good that the Seahawks were actually able to win the game in overtime and didn’t allow Denver’s fourth quarter comeback to come back and bite them–or Shead’s celebration would have been much more tempered. Instead, the aftermath looked like this, and any of Shead’s teammates shaking their heads stayed respectfully behind the camera…
