Texas A&M ran rampant over SMU yesterday, but their doggie mascot Reveille almost got run over. In fact, we’re thinking that Reveille must have been indulging in the same kind of pre-game activities that your COED staff enjoyed on the couch. He looked totally zonked out while lazing on the sidelines. That means that Reveille didn’t notice when SMU receiver Der’rick Thompson got pushed out of bounds near the goal line during a play. Thompson looked as if he wasn’t going to be able to avoid stomping on the oblivious Reveille–but then a cadet from Texas A&M stepped up and did some blocking of his own. It was easily the play of the day–and worth watching again and again, through the miracle of modern technology. Plus Reveille was probably too damn oblivious to know what happened, so it’s good that he can watch it today…
