Celebrities, rappers, and fans took to Twitter to pay tribute to late rapper Mac Miller, who died at 26-years-old due to an apparent drug overdose.
McCormick, better known by his stage name Mac Miller, was an American rapper, singer and record producer from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His most recent album, Swimming, was released on August 3, 2018.
A day before his passing, an extensive profile about Miller was published on Vulture.
Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell tweeted saying: “NOOO! I do not wanna believe my brother is dead! I cannot take this anymore, life is too short…I just know you’re now in a better place now than this place we call Earth @MacMiller …I love you bro, and will miss you.”
Wiz Khalifa, Miller’s longtime friend and collaborator, tweeted: “Praying for Mac’s family and that he rest easy.”
Chance the Rapper also paid tribute to Miller, acknowledging that Miller took him on his second tour, saying “I don’t know what to say Mac Miller took me on my second tour ever. But beyond helping me launch my career he was one of the sweetest guys I ever knew. Great man. I loved him for real. I’m completely broken. God bless him.”
Others rappers and musicians that paid tribute to Miller include J.Cole, Jaden Smith, Lil Yachty, Kid Cudi, Swae Lee, and Diplo.
Marcus Stroman, Sammy Adams, Tana Mongeau, DJ Akademiks, Kehlani, and Murda on the Beat are just some of the other celebrities who have paid tribute to the late rapper so far.

Ariana Grande, who Miller dated from August 2016 to May 2018, has yet to publicly comment on or address Miller’s death.
