On Tuesday, January 2, United States President Donald Trump announced that he would be holding the “The Most Dishonest & Corrupt Media Awards Of The Year” on Monday, January 8, but later changed the title to the “Fake News Awards”, with a rescheduled date of Wednesday, January 17. The time and format of the ceremony/award show has yet to be announced.
According to POTUS’ original announcement, which was made on Twitter, the subjects that will be covered during The Fake News Awards are “dishonesty & bad reporting in various categories from the Fake News Media.”
While the exact categories of the Most Dishonest & Corrupt Media Awards of the Year have yet to be announced at this time, the President asked everyone to “stay tuned”. The favorites to be nominated for the President’s awards are outlets such as NBC, ABC, CNN, CBS, the “failing” New York Times, and the Washington Post.
Exact details about the Fake News Awards — such as the start time — has yet to be revealed, however, President Trump is expected to make an announcement on his Twitter account sometime today.
