This is the type of shit that gets you killed in prison. Meaning, if you said something as equally offensive within the confines of a jail, someone would probably shank your ass.
Here’s what I don’t understand: what portion of your brain tells you that talking down on the victims of assault? You ever hear of a pros/cons list? Simple decision making? Unreal.
Albert L. Lord, who is a former executive at Sallie Mae, was elected to serve on the Penn State Board of Trustees by alumni. Lord, a Penn State trustee who has been a vocal supporter of embattled former President Graham B. Spanier, had a couple of wildly offensive opinions about the sexual abuse victims of former Nittany Lions assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky.
In the email sent to The Chronicle of Higher Education, Lord said he is “running out of sympathy” for the “so-called” abuse victims.
“Running out of sympathy for 35 yr old, so-called victims with 7 digit net worth,” Lord said in the email. “Do not understand why they were so prominent in trial. As you learned, Graham Spanier never knew Sandusky abused anyone.”
Furthermore, in an interview, Lord said the ‘horrors’ of Sandusky’s crimes have made it impossible for a fair-minded assessment of whether former University President Graham B. Spanier and others acted inappropriately based on the facts.
“I am tired of victims’ getting in the way of clearer thinking and a reasoned approach to who knew what and who did what,” Lord said in the interview.

Prosecutors in the child-endangerment conviction of Spanier have argued that he broke the law after receiving a 2001 report that graduate assistant Mike McQueary had seen Sandusky naked with a young boy in the showers at Penn State’s Lasch Building, but he did not demand that it be reported immediately to child protection authorities.
