Drexel Professor Tweets About Disgust Over Civilian Giving Up First-Class Seat To A Soldier

George Ciccariello-Maher, a Drexel University professor, is facing harsh criticism on Twitter after sharing his feelings about a first class passenger who gave up his seat to someone in the military.

Ciccariello-Maher tweeted on Sunday, March 24: ‘Some guy gave up his first class seat for a uniformed soldier. People are thanking him. I’m trying not to vomit or yell about Mosul.’

This isn’t the first time the controversial Cicariello-Maher has caused a stir. During December 2016, he tweeted ‘All I want for Christmas is White Genocide.’

Cicariello-Maher was flying to Mexico to be a visiting reseacher at the National Autonomous University of Mexico.

According to his univer biography, he specializes in colonialism, social movements, political theory, Latin America, and race and racism.

Back in December, Cicariello-Maher’s tweet stirred up enough controversy that Drexel was forced to respond:
