Northwestern was hosting Michigan tonight in a Big Ten conference clash. It was a huge game for Northwestern, as a win would pretty much guarantee them a spot in their first ever NCAA Tournament.
With the game tied at 65-65 with 1.7 seconds remaining, Northwestern had to inbound the ball from under their own basket. It looked like we were heading to overtime for sure, but Dererk Pardon and Nathan Taphorn had other ideas.

Pardon my French, but that was f*cking awesome! What an amazing way to punch your ticket to the NCAA Tournament, and it was all started by a ridiculously accurate pass. Taphorn threaded the needle like Aaron Rodgers on a Hail Mary.
Fun fact: Chris Collins is the coach of Northwestern. His dad is Doug Collins, who was a former NBA coach and a member of the 1972 USA Basketball team that got robbed of a gold medal from a similar play. Collins hit two clutch free throws to give the US the lead, but then they got hosed by those crooked ass refs.
