President Barack Obama said goodbye to the nation on Tuesday night, giving his final as the 44th President of the United States of America.
“This is where I learned that change only happens when ordinary people get involved, get engaged, and come together to demand it,” Obama said to a packed hall of more than 20,000 supporters in his adopted hometown of Chicago.
Inside of a convention hall packed to the brim with his most loyal supporters and staffers, Obama urged viewers, “After eight years as your President, I still believe that. And it’s not just my belief. It’s the beating heart of our American idea — our bold experiment in self-government.”
