The 2023 Screen Actors Guild Awards took place on Sunday evening at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Century City, California. The ceremony — which streamed live on the Netflix YouTube page — marked the 29th annual SAG Awards.
The bigger winner on the night was Everything Everywhere All at Once — which had been nominated five times.
Everything Everywhere All at Once won the most awards of the night with four wins, the most for any film in SAG Awards history. Michelle Yeoh and Ke Huy Quan both became the first Asian actors to win Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role and Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role, respectively.
Best Actor, meanwhile, went to Brendan Fraser for his role in The Whale.
In television, the HBO hit series The White Lotus picked up Best Drama Series Ensemble, while the ABC comedy Abbott Elementary received a trophy for Best Comedy Ensemble.
Each winner receives the trophy, known as “The Actor,” which stands 16 inches tall and weighs 12 pounds. The solid bronze statue is produced by the American Fine Arts Foundry in Burbank, California.
