UFC 244 is set to be a star-studded affair if all reports prove to be true. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who launched his own tequila on Wednesday, confirmed later in the day that he will be appearing at the pay-per-view event headlined by Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz on Saturday, November 2 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
The announcement comes on the same day that it was reported Donald Trump is scheduled to appear.
The Rock confirmed his appearance during an Instagram Live session with UFC president Dana White. Johnson, who previously said he wants to put the BMF belt around the winner’s waist, also explained why he is a fan of the title.
“This addition to the company and the brand and to the sport, this BMF belt, I think it’s brilliant,” Johnson said during the broadcast. “It’s so smart and it’s just fun, man. That place is gonna be rocking, it’s gonna be electrifying. I can’t wait to get in there, man.”
Johnson also teased a “big announcement” at the pre-fight press conference saying it is “something I wanted to tell the UFC fans and MMA community first.”
So what will it be? Will Johnson unveil the BMF belt? Will his tequila become an official UFC sponsor? We’ll have to wait and see.

UFC 244: Masvidal vs. Diaz is set to go down on Saturday, November 2 as the title for Baddest Motherf*cker in the UFC is handed out. In the co-main event of the night, middleweight contenders Kelvin Gastelum and Darren Till will go toe-to-toe.
