When the Lil Nas X Billboard hit “Old Town Road” was at its peak, it seemed like we were getting a brand new remix each and every week. Things have died down recently, however, following the track’s historic run atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart, but now it’s having some new life breathed into it thanks to Anderson .Paak.
Paak stopped by the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge on Monday, September 16 and dropped a cover of the track that packages it in a completely different way.
Paak sits behind the drums while singing the vocals, but is also assisted by some impressive harmonies on the background vocals.
