WATCH: Amanda Nunes KOs Holly Holm With Head Kick in Round 1

Amanda Nunes, the very first two-division women’s champion in UFC history, successfully defended her bantamweight title on Saturday, July 6 in the co-main event of UFC 239 against former titleholder Holly Holm. Nunes electrified the crowd at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas with a stunning head kick that dropped Holm to the mat before the champion finished the challenger off with some follow-up strikes.

With the win, Nunes tied Jessica Andrade for the most wins by a women’s fighter in UFC history.

Nunes also set UFC record for the most fights (11), wins (10), stoppages (eight) and first-round finishes (seven) in UFC women’s bantamweight history.

During her post-fight interview with Joe Rogan, Nunes revealed that she plans to defend her women’s featherweight championship in her next UFC appearance.
