WATCH: Tony Ferguson Pummels Donald Cerrone En Route To Doctor's Stoppage Win

A highly anticipated bout between Tony Ferguson and Donald Cerrone at UFC 238 came to an unfortunate end. After a strong second round from Ferguson where he battered Cerrone for five rounds, the doctor’s stepped in to call an end to the action.
There was a controversial strike at the end of the fight, however, with Ferguson striking Cerrone with a heavy shot to the nose after the bell at the end of Round 2.
But then, in between Round 2 and Round 3, Cerrone made the mistake of blowing his nose in the corner which immediately caused his eye to swell shut. The doctors came in to look at the damage he had endured on his eye and determined that he could not see therefore calling an end to the fight.
Referee Dan Miragliotta reviewed the final punch and determined that it did not cause the swelling to Cerrone’s eye.
As a result, it was Ferguson who earned a TKO victory.
